The problem with adulterations in nationalism such as religion and history is that someone who is more accomplished in it can easily hijack the entire nation and hold the country hostage.

Afgandus have long beards and wear shalwars above ankles. This outward appearance makes it easy for them to exploit Muslim nationalism. Indians are well-educated, well-respected, more in number and feel no shame in propagating fake news. Their fake version of history will forever overshadow our truth.

This is why I keep on preaching we need to develop a home-grown version of nationalism, something like Kemalism or Deutsch nationalism. German nationalism today has no dependency on history (Hitler) while Turkish nationalism has no dependency on religion. The hijackers can beat us in history or religion, but they can't overpower us in something that is solely ours i.e. Pakistan.
