Mandate

I voted for Khan in 2018. Here is the reality of his mandate. Nawaz had similar percentages in 2013.

  • Population of Pakistan (100%): 219.7 million
  • Registered Voters (48.2%): 105.9 million
  • Turnout (24.2%): 53.1 million
  • Winner PTI (7.7%): 16.9 million

To put this into perspective, if you went to a wedding with exactly 100 people including men, women and children, only 8 voted for PTI in 2018 and 8 voted for PMLN in 2013. The remaining 92 either did not vote, were too young to vote or voted for other parties.
